Plane from Antalya skids off runway in Kiev airport

A Bravo Airways airplane skidded off the runway of Igor Sikorsky Kiev International Airport (Zhuliany) in the Ukrainian capital late June 14.

All 169 passengers and crew on board the Antalya-Kiev plane flight number 4406 were evacuated and are safe, according to the airport’s statement.

The cause of the incident was unknown and the airport was briefly closed after the incident.

Some passengers who spoke to the Ukrainian media said they saw smoke coming out of the wings and the plane violently shook during landing.
