Pile-up crash paralyzes traffic in Istanbul

ISTANBUL
A pile-up of trucks, in which three people have been injured, has blocked traffic on one of Istanbul’s main arteries.

The collision of two trucks and one cargo truck occurred at around 2 p.m. today, leading to massive congestion on the TEM highway.

Three people in the vehicles were injured in the crash, according to initial reports.

Although the vehicles involved in the accident have been removed from the site, the traffic heading in the direction of Ankara has reached a standstill, with tailbacks of many kilometers.
