Kıratlı and Akçıl married at the Turkish consulate in Amsterdam on New Year’s Eve.
Footage showing Akçıl seeing Kıratlı’s wedding dress for the first time went viral on Jan. 1.
“You just didn’t dress at all,” Akçıl is heard telling Kıratlı in surprise ahead of the wedding, before the couple kissed.
While some social media users hailed the actress for the “daring” outfit choice, others slammed her for looking rather “cheap.”
Kıratlı is known in Turkey and across several other countries with her parts in popular TV series including “Brave and Beautiful,” “Resurrection” and “Our Story.”
Also a model, she had appeared on the catwalk with more conservative designs in the past.
