The 500-year-old castle in Turkey’s southwestern port town of Bodrum has been on UNESCO’s tentative world heritage list since 2016.
“The castle has five towers. Knights from different countries lived in each -- British, French, Italian, German, and Spanish towers,” Tayfun Selçuk, acting director of the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, told Anadolu Agency.
The ancient theatre, which was built in 2nd century BC, is another historical treasure of Bodrum.
"People have been listening to music in this theatre for the past 2,400 years. Still, the theatre hosts more than 30 important cultural events each year," Selçuk said.
