Demirören News Agency reported on Aug. 30 that the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBİTAK) installed a Russian telescope at the TÜBİTAK National Observatory (TUG) in the southern province of Antalya.
Turkish and Russian scientists are scheduled to work at TUG, which is located at an altitude of 2,547, to discover new galaxies by the help of the RTT 150 telescope.
The TUG will work in tandem with a high energy space telescope that would be launched by Russia next year.
