One soldier, 14 militants killed in clashes in SE Turkey

One soldier, 14 militants killed in clashes in SE Turkey

One soldier and 14 suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party were killed during clashes Nov. 8 in the Şemdinli district of southeastern Hakkari, Doğan news agency has reported.
 
Security forces followed an anonymous tip regarding the location of militants, with clashes erupting once they came into contact with militants.
 
Wounded Turkish Sergeant Seyit Yalçın died in Yüksekova state hospital where he was sent for treatment of injuries he sustained during the violence.
