Olympiacos beats Anadolu Efes 83-65

Anadolu Efes was beaten by its Greek rival Olympiacos in a Turkish Airlines Euroleague match played in Greece yesterday night.Two classic Turkish Airlines Euroleague met in a pivotal showdown in the Group E of the Top 16 stage in this game.
The Greek squad got its first victory in top 16 after scoring 30 points in the final quarter of the game, while Anadolu Efes scored a meager 12 points in both second and third quarters.
Olympiacos dominated the scoreboard throughout the game, finishing the first quarter 20-12. Anadolu Efes rallied to score 24 points in the second quarter but it was not enough to take the lead away from the Greek squad which reached half time with a 41-36 lead.
Anadolu Efes had a chance to get back in the game at the end of the third quarter with a 53-53 draw but Olympiacos started the final quarter with an 11-0 series and continued with an 8-0 series which ended Anadolu Efes' hopes of winning the game.
CSKA Moscow is now leading group E followed by Olympiacos, Anadolu Efes and Galatasaray Medical Park.
