Mother on police duty discovers dead son

A mother from the police force in Hatay was directed to a motorcycle accident which left a 14-year-old boy dead. The deceased turned out to be her own son, Milliyet reported.
The boy, Tarık Polat, was on the bike with his 19-year-old friend when the accident occurred. Polat, then unidentified, died on the scene.
Filiz Bulut, the mother and a police officer, discovered her own son's death only when she arrived at the scene after being called in for duty.
Polat was buried in the Elazığ province of southeastern Turkey, his father's hometown.
