Moisturizer ‘burns’ Turkish man’s face

A university student in the eastern Turkish province of Erzurum has said his face “burned” after he applied a moisturizer cream.
Local media reported on Sept. 3 that Efekan Yer, 22, bought an unnamed cream after he felt his face was too dry.
A short while after he applied the cream, his started to feel a “burning” sensation on his skin, which later peeled.
Yer, who remains hospitalized, told local media he had used an “under the counter” cosmetic product, which did not have the required legal approval.
“People should not use unknown cosmetic products without consulting a doctor,” he said.
