Mobile giant Turkcell graces Forbes’ top 10

The list was formulated by asking 10 experts, “If you could buy one stock and hold on to it for the whole year, which stock would it be?” The other stocks that made the list were: Caterpillar, FedEx, Hershey, Capital One, Mako Surgical, Microsoft, Arcos Dorados, Alcoa and Banco Santander.
“Investors who want to escape the volatility in Europe and the Middle East should look to Turkcell. Mobile communications is still a growing sector in many developing countries, and Turkcell is a solid company, which stands to profit from this growth,” said Charles Sizemore, the fund manager at Sizemore Investment Letter, who recommended Turkcell. Sizemore also praised Turkey’s resilience in spite of the global economic crisis.
