Family and Social Policies Minister Fatma Şahin said Jan. 13 they had begun working on a new initiative to provide radical solutions to the problem of child exploitation, as well as the introduction of a non-compulsory premarital education project.

“This [study] group is set to complete its work by Jan. 18. Afterwards, we are going to present a new child strategy plan in a speedy manner [for] the Turkish Republic that complies with the vision set forth by the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child. At the moment, we are brewing this in the kitchen,” Minister Şahin said.

Şahin alsosaid they are working on a premarital education program.
