German Economy Minister Philipp Rösler said yesterday that he had not seen another country that developed like Turkey in the recent period.

Addressing Turkish businessmen during a meeting in Berlin, Rösler said Turkish businessmen ranked second in the world after China in the construction sector, adding that Turkey was Germany’s top trade partner.

Commercial ties between Turkey and Germany were increasing each day, he added. Requiring visas from Turkish businessmen who had been invited to make investments was irrational, Rösler said, adding that he would discuss this issue with government officials in November. He also said Turkey and Germany would sign an energy deal on Nov. 15. Turkey’s Ambassador to Berlin Avni Karslıoğlu shared some figures about the Turkish economy.
