Man covers apartment building with plastic to fight cold in eastern Turkey

Locals in frozen eastern Turkey have come up with a previously unseen solution to fight the cold: Plastic.

Hüseyin Arme, 45, said he searched the Internet to find a solution to the cold and decided to cover his apartment with plastic, enveloping three stories of his five-story building with the material.

“We wanted to cover the building with one single piece of plastic. But the biggest piece we could find was 40 meters high and 12 meters long. We had to use three separate pieces of plastic, and we were able to cover only our apartment,” said Arme, a father of five.

He added that they wanted to cover the whole apartment building with plastic if they could find a roll of the necessary size.
