Mabeyn Gallery is welcoming the new 2012-2013 season with “Silence,” a solo exhibition from İsmet Değirmenci. Joining together his previously explored themes – “far away-close,” “harbor,” “wind,” and “little time” – Değirmenci’s latest exhibition presents “silence” as another metaphor for nature. Conducting inner conversations during his solitary walks in nature, Değirmenci investigates “the landscape grammar of nature against the city’s architectural mass order” and “the wise silence of trees.”
