Istanbul State Ballet to present ‘Othello’ Istanbul State Ballet is performing its modern ballet show “Othello,” based on the play by William Shakespeare, March 7 at Fulya Sanat.

The performance starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are available through www.mybilet.com. The ballet performance is accompanied by Giuseppe Verdi’s opera music. “The Tragedy of Othello” is believed to have been written in approximately 1603. Because of its varied and current themes of racism, love, jealousy and betrayal, Othello is still often performed in professional and community theatres alike.
