Consecutive accidents in Istanbul have caused a traffic jam this morning, leaving drivers stuck on the road for hours.

Tailbacks about 20-kilometers long occurred on the road leading to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge on both sides of Istanbul.

The density on the road is still high even after the remains of the accidents were removed from the roads.

Istanbul is the second worst city in the world for traffic congestion, second only to Russia’s Moscow, according to a study released by a leading navigation systems company in August.
