Istanbul Modern cinema program
Istanbul Modern Cinema, in collaboration with the Goethe Institute Istanbul, brings German director and producer Hartmut Bitomsky to Istanbul. Three award-winning documentaries by Bitomsky will be screened with the participation of the director. Featured in the program are Reichsautobahn which focuses on the building of highways during the Nazi era, and Deutschlandbilder which shows how the Nazi regime used the media to inject its own ideology into people’s everyday lives. The third film in the selection, Dust, premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2007. The screenings goes on until Oct. 27.
