Istanbul-bound plane lands in Montreal after passenger threatens crew

A passenger plane travelling to Istanbul from Toronto via Montreal was forced to return to Montreal, after a passenger allegedly threatened crew members, saying it would be their “last flight.”Passengers of the Airtransat plane, which took off from Montreal on the evening of Aug. 25, complained when a 25-year-old passenger kept nudging the man sitting next to him shortly after take off.
Following the complaints, the cabin crew warned the man, but he then allegedly began shouting at them, saying, “This will be your last flight.”
The plane returned to the Montreal airport, where police detained the man.
The flight eventually arrived at Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport after a 7-hour delay.
