Iran ‘could send gas to Europe via Turkey’

ANKARA - Anadolu Agency
Iran is ready to export natural gas via a pipeline or in the form of liquefied natural gas to European countries, the country’s Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Ali Majedi said on May 7.

Sending the gas with the Trans Anadolu Pipeline project, which will carry Azerbaijani natural gas to Europe, is the most cost-effective choice, Majedi said to the official Iranian news agency IRNA.

“The second route is a pipeline which passes through Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and [finally] the Mediterranean Sea,” Majedi said, adding, “The third route is an undersea route passing beneath the Mediterranean Sea.”
