Hospital beds tailored for Turks

SİVAS - Anatolia News Agency
Yüksel Aras and his four sons have opened a factory in the province of Sivas in central Anatolia to produce hospital beds and equipment to suit Turkish needs.

The factory produces electronic hospital beds, mattresses, examination tables, operating tables, stretchers and other hospital equipment.

The beds produced at the factory will be able to support up to 400-450 kilos as opposed to the standard 180 kilos, Aras told Sivas Mayor Ali Kolat during a tour of the facility. This is for times when family members and friends of patientswant to sit on the patient’s hospital bed when visiting.

Aras explained that the factory produces all the parts locally and nothing is imported from abroad. The end products are shipped to 29 different countries, including the United States, Germany, Venezuela, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Nigeria, Sudan and Dubai.
