Gong rings for Silver Plus on stock exchange

Turkey’s first interest-free silver-denominated investment fund “Kuveyt Türk Silver Plus,” developed by Turkey’s Islamic participation bank Kuveyt Türk, began trading on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (İMKB) for the first time yesterday.Kuveyt Türk’s General Manager Ufuk Uyan, Assistant General Manager Murat Çetinkaya, upper level managers from the bank and İMKB President İbrahim Turhan attended the opening gong ceremony. Kuveyt Türk had already launched a “Gold Plus” fund for investors, and Uyan said he expected the Silver Plus fund to get the same attention that Gold Plus has received. The Silver Plus fund will allow investors to trade silver like they would trade normal stocks.
