Gold, money stolen at Jewelry show in Istanbul
ISTANBUL - Anatolia News AgencyTurkish police are searching for suspects who walked away from the Istanbul International Jewelry Show at the CNR Expo Center in Yeşilköy with four kilograms of gold and a bag containing 40,000 Turkish Liras.
As the jewelry show was wrapping up, the suspects, one woman and four men, pretended to examine the jewelry stand, asking questions about what was on offer.
The five, who were speaking English, then allegedly picked up the bag of gold and money and walked away.
The stand owners notified the police, who are conducting an investigation into the theft.
The jewelry show ran from March 22 to 25.
