Officers must act in line with ministerial circulars, Interior Minister İdris Naim Şahin said at a meeting of provincial police chiefs in Ankara’s Kızılcahamam district.
Because investigation processes are confidential, suspects should not be exposed to the media as if they were criminals and should not be permitted to meet with the media in question-and-answer sessions, he said.
