Galatasaray hands Kasımpaşa first loss of season

Galatasaray handed Kasımpaşa its first loss of the season on Sept. 14 with a 4-1 a victory at home as the two teams switched positions at the top of the Turkish Spor Toto Süper Lig.

Eren Derdiyok opened the scoring in the 55th minute at Türk Telekom Stadium.

Four minutes later, Garry Rodrigues doubled the lead for Galatasaray.

Rodrigues added a second goal in the 65th minute.

Kasımpaşa's Mbaye Diagne penalty goal in 76th minute went against the trend. The referee used the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system to confirm his penalty decision.

A minute later, Galatasaray scored again when Serdar Aziz ended the scoring.

Before the loss, Kasımpaşa's had won after 4 in a row in the Turkish Spor Toto Süper Lig.

Galatasaray now has 12 points, leading the league table by goal average.
