French performance project at Borusan

Les Signes Extérieurs is a performance project combining dance and music, and is in fact so straightforward that it starts off by posing the dancers and the musicians concurrently on stage. The many screens act as music stands and each performer has a partition to interpret. This whole new formation removes any boundaries between the musicians and the dancers, making it a play where they are constantly interacting. The overall outcome is frames from films, documentaries, newspapers and political discourse rather than mere conventional dance images; and what determines it all is music itself. The project will be on the Borusan Music House stage tonight at 8 in cooperation with Institut Français.
