Four killed in gunfight in Istanbul parking lot

Four people were killed in a gunfight in a parking lot between two groups in Istanbul’s Bağcılar district over an unknown reason late Jan. 15, while the three of the killed were under 18.

M.Y., 16, and M.H.Ş., 16, died in the hospital, while M.Ş., 17 and S.E., 18, died at the scene of the firefight, while the police detained five people reportedly working at the parking lot for being involved with the gunfight. Two groups reportedly started a gunfight in a parking lot in the Yüzyıl Quarter of Bağcılar district, over an unknown dispute.

A.B., 16, also wounded by gunshots at the scene is in critical condition and hospitalized at Bağcılar Education and Research Hospital. H.D. allegedly used a gun during the clashes and his arm was broken and is hospitalized at Istanbul Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Hospital.

Police have increased security in the neighborhood and around 50 riot police have been sent to the area.

The police also sealed the entrance to the crime scene, where the relatives of deceased had nervous breakdown.
