This sounds like a publicity stunt. Sorry if I sound cynical.

louis 'san fransissyco' farakhan is a 'great convert'? he's all yours. however, to compare doorn to malcolm x, muhammed ali, or kareem abdul jamar does them a disservice. rather, this is just like mosab hassan yousef the hamas heir who converted to christianity and denounced the movement. it proves nothing.

I wonder whether he received any cash from "the brothers" ?! He reminds me of the astronaut who claimed he heard ezan being sung when he landed on the moon...

@david coors, "From one extreme to an other" can you please elaborate?

Usually people with extreme views are a bit confused. We can only wish him well with whatever he chooses. Personally I dont care what people believe in since I consider it being a private matter.

Arnoud van Doorn moved from one extreme to another, to its opposite. What does it mean??? To me, extreme unstable, extreme emotional, and not normal at all even if he did not convert. Some people, like him, are very much pro-occupied and obsessed with religion. Or, they either hate one religion or the other. He most likely hates Christianity now. Also, he might be badmouthing his former religion now just like he was badmouthing Islam before.

What a coup! He will stand next to other such great converts like Malcom X, Louis Farakhan, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Mohamed Ali, and countless other notables in the field of the Sciences and academia.
