The Turkish Foreign Ministry has clarified that the Turkish schools the chief of General Staff visited in Saudi Arabia were operating under the Turkish embassy, implying that they are not Fethullah Gülen schools.

Chief of General Staff Gen. Necdet Özel paid a visit Nov. 20 to the Riyadh International Turkish School, which operates within the structure of the Embassy of Turkey in Saudi Arabia, a written statement by the ministry said yesterday.

 Within the structure of the Turkish embassy, eight schools operate in the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, Mecca, Abha, Tebuk, Taif and Dammam in Saudi Arabia, said the statement, adding that 300 teachers have been placed in those schools.
