Fire breaks out at Istanbul factory

A fire has broken out in a chemical factory in Istanbul’s Tuzla district and explosions continue among the flames, according to Doğan news agency.

Firefighters were immediately sent to the area and teams are struggling to keep the flames under control.

No one was injured or killed in the fire, Tuzla mayor said, according to private broadcaster NTV.

Teams requested air support to control the flames.

The source of the fire remains unknown.
