Ferhat Göçer on stage in Istanbul
Pop singer Ferhat Göçer, who is best known for introducing eastern musical instruments and tones to popular Western songs, is taking the stage at Black Out shopping mall in Şişli. His repertoire includes many different musical styles and genres, including opera, napolitan, chanson, rembetico, Turkish folk and classics. He is known for his eclectic style and his wide range of song selection. Göçer’s primary objective is the meeting of Anatolian melodies with universally accepted symphonic music to expose the wholeness of different genres. His “Anatolian Arias” project has traveled to many cities from Istanbul to İzmir, Diyarbakır and Gaziantep. Göçer holds a medical degree from the University of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and also is a graduate of the Istanbul State Conservatory.
