Turkish Golf Federation (TGF) chairman Ahmet Ağaoğlu headbutted a journalist on the first day of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final yesterday.

During the match between Tiger Woods and Charl Schwartzel, journalists and cameramen had an argument with the organizers about where the press should stand.

The argument became heated when Ağaoğlu arrived in the area and headbutted Cihan News Agency cameraman Cihat Ünal.

Ünal’s glasses were broken after taking the hit.

Ünal then went to a police station near the course in Antalya and filed an official complaint against Ağaoğlu.

The Turkish Airlines World Golf Final, which brings together eight of the world’s best golfers, is the highest-profile golf event held in Turkey. The tournament has total prize money of $5.2 million.
