Ex-regulator to write for paper

Finansgündem, a local online economy portal, speculates that Tevfik Bilgin, the former head of Turkey’s Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), has reacted positively to an offer from daily Zaman to write a column for the newspaper.

According to their source, since Bilgin is temporarily barred from working in the banking sector upon leaving his post he has decided to become a columnist for daily Zaman and is expected to begin preparing his first column shortly.

Finansgündem also claims that since Bilgin always handwrote his speeches and never used a computer, he may do the same with his columns for daily Zaman.
