Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will participate in an international forum in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a guest of honor.

Erdoğan will depart from Istanbul for the UAE on Feb. 23 in order to participate in and address the Government Communication Forum (GCF 2013), which will be opened on Feb. 24.

The two-day forum will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad al-Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, under the theme “Effective Communication, Unified Message.” Sharjah is one of the emirates of the UAE.

Kofi Annan, former secretary-general of the United Nations, and Amr Moussa, former secretary-general of the Arab League, will be among the speakers at the forum.

“This visit carries added significance given the Turkish Prime Minister’s unique approach to government communication - which is based on engaging the Turkish people in all decisions related to growth and in accordance with the highest standards of transparency and openness. We find this truly inspiring,” he added.
