EBRD to open office in Ankara

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is opening an office in Ankara this week. London, UK based EBRD released a statement saying “The bank will be opening a resident office in Ankara in order to support and step up its presence.”

The EBRD has been active in Turkey for three years and has made investments worth more than 1.5 billion euros in energy, transportation, infrastructure, the financial sector, and agriculture management. The EBRD already has an office in Istanbul and the new Ankara office is expected to facilitate their support to the developing areas of the country as foster deeper cooperation with the Turkish authorities.
Director of EBRD Turkey Michael Davey and Director of Small Business Support at EBRD Charlotte Ruhe will attend a press conference regarding the opening of the new office in Ankara tomorrow.

London based EBRD was established in 1991 and provides financing to banks, industries and businesses and supports countries to improve their market economies.
