Derviş Zaim to head 33rd film festival jury

ISTANBUL
Derviş Zaim will serve as the jury president of the Golden Tulip National Competition in the 33rd Istanbul Film Festival, which will take place from April 5-20 with the organization of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV).

The National Competition jury will award prizes in nine categories: Best Film, Special Jury Award, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Screenplay, Best Director of Photography, Best Editing, and Best Music.

The Best Film will be awarded 150,000 Turkish Liras, while the Best Director will receive 50,000 liras. The director of the winner of the Special Jury Prize, in memory of Onat Kutlar, will receive 60,000 liras. The Best Actress and Best Actor award winners will each receive 10,000 liras. The jury will also ha
nd out awards for Best Screenplay, Best Director of Photography, Best Editing and Best Original Music.
This year’s jury president, Zaim, lectures at a number of universities, where he teaches filmmaking.
