The death toll in a car bomb attack staged by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) against a police station in the Çınar district of the southeastern province of Aug. 15 has risen to eight with the death of another civilian.

Five police officers were killed in the attack when PKK militants detonated the bomb-laden truck outside the Murat Uçar Regional Traffic Inspection Station in the Şükürlü village located between Diyarbakır’s Çınar and the Bismil districts.
