Deadline to submit Akbank Fest Dec 31 The Akbank Short Film Festival is now accepting submissions for its short film competition until Dec. 31.

The festival’s eighth edition will be organized between March 9 and 19, 2012 in an attempt to create an effective platform for short films in Turkey and to support new ideas.

The festival will be organized into two categories, Fiction and Documentary. The films that move forward from the pre-selection process will be screened in the festival shorts competition.

The winners in both categories will be chosen by two teams of judges, and the directors of the Best Film will win 8,000 Turkish Liras from Akbank Sanat.
