Tournament favorite CSKA Moscow may punch a ticket to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Istanbul if it beats Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao tonight.
CSKA has a 2-0 lead after winning the first two of their best-of-five playoffs series and close to qualifying for the Final Four that will be held in Istanbul in May.
The Russians will make their ninth Final Four appearance in 10 years if they beat Gescrap BB, but they are aware that it will not be easy.
“It will be more difficult and more physical in Bilbao,” CSKA forward Ramunas Siskauskas was quoted as saying on the Euroleague website. “The opponents have great fans but we want to get back home as soon as possible.”
The game starts at 8 p.m.
In another game tonight, Olympiacos takes on Montepaschi Siena. The Greeks managed to steal a win in Italy and the series are tied at 1-1.
“The goal is to, at least, take one in win in Piraeus so we can bring the series back to Siena,” Montepaschi center Tomas Ress was quoted as saying on the website.
The Olympiacos vs. Siena game starts at 9 p.m. and will be shown live on NTV Spor.
