A local court ordered on June 14 the arrest of four suspects in the investigation into the deadly twin bombings in Reyhanlı that killed 52 people, including the alleged perpetrator of the blasts, identified as N.E. Another suspect has been released on probation.

Four of the suspects had been caught after the interrogation of N.E., who had been detained while trying to cross the border near the village of Güveççi in the Yayladağı town in Turkey’s southern border province of Hatay late on June 10.

The interrogation of the four detainees was completed and the suspects were referred to an Adana court by security forces the morning of June 14.

The blasts in Reyhanlı, in the southern province of Hatay just across from Syria’s Idlib governorship, were the deadliest crossborder attack since the onset of the Syrian conflict in March 2011.
