Texas-based Huntsman Corporation announced Dec. 30 it has acquired Turkey’s EMA Kimya, according to a 
company statement. EMA Kimya produces polyurethane for use in the automobile and furniture sectors.

The news comes on the heels of- Dow Chemical’s announcement last month that it would partner with Turkey’s Aksa Akrilik, as well as Indian giant Aditya Birla’s announcement that it would invest $510 million in a factory in Turkey’s southern province of Adana to produce viscose fiber.
