Bulgur pilaf with mushrooms

Bulgur pilaf with mushrooms


One cup of black bulgur (coarser grind)
250 grams of mushrooms
3 tablespoons butter
1 onion
1 spoonful of red pepper paste
Black pepper
Hot red pepper
Ground rock salt


Chop the onion and mushrooms. Place the butter, red pepper paste, onion and mushrooms in a pan and cook over low heat. Wash the bulgur and add it to the pan. Add two cups of boiling water and continue cooking. Add salt before removing from heat, and allow to rest, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes. Add spices before serving. You might like to add fresh mint leaves before serving, as well.
