Balkan star comes to Istanbul

ISTANBUL
Balkan star comes to Istanbul Dino Merlin, a renowned singer/songwriter from Bosnia and Herzegovina, will perform in Istanbul on April 23.

Merlin is the only performer ever to have filled to capacity the Koševo Stadium in Sarajevo three times, as well as the Belgrade Kombank Arena three nights in a row. These performances are considered to be the most significant post-war music events in the region of the former Yugoslavia.

Merlin has represented his country three times at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993, 1999 and 2011.

Throughout his career, Dino has collaborated with many internationally acclaimed artists, including Cat Stevens and Goran Bregovic, as well as Turkish pop star Mustafa Sandal.

With the invitation of the then-mayor of Rome, Walter Vetroni, Merlin performed at the 2002 benefit concert for peace, “Glocal Forum,” at the Colosseum, along with a host of acclaimed artists such as Ray Charles, Mercedes Sosa, Khaled and others.

He will meet his Turkish fans at Ora Arena.
