Babacan to attend IMF, World Bank meetings

Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan is scheduled to fly to the United States on Thursday to attend the annual World Bank-International Monetary Fund (IMF) 2012 spring meetings and the Group of 20 meetings in Washington D.C.

He is scheduled to attend the G20 working dinner on Thursday and Friday’s Rio 20 Ministers’ meeting, and will also be an honorary guest at an Atlantic Council event on Friday evening. Atlantic Council, founded in 1961-1962, has been a non partisan institution promoting transatlantic cooperation, according to its web site.

He will take part in the G-20 sessions as well as the World Bank-IMF spring meetings on Saturday before returning to Turkey on the same day.
