Arrested ISIL suspect hangs himself in jail in Turkey’s south

Arrested ISIL suspect hangs himself in jail in Turkey’s south An arrested Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) suspect hung himself on April 20 in his cell in the southern province of Hatay. 

Syrian-origin Nedim Belluş, 35, was found hung from his bunk bed in his cell at Hatay’s İskenderun M-Type Prison.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.

Police detained Belluş last week in an operation against suspected ISIL members. He was arrested along with two others.
