Armed forces extend condolences for Soma victims

ANKARA
The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) extended its condolences to the families of hundreds of workers killed in the May 13 coal mine explosion in Soma in the western province of Manisa.

“May God rest the souls of our citizens who lost their lives in the deplorable coal mine fire that took place in the Soma town of Manisa, which has made the hearts of all of us bleed as a nation and drowned us in grief,” the TSK said in a brief written statement posted on its official website on May 14.
