25 governors replaced across Turkey

ANKARA
A decree replacing 25 governors was published in the Official Gazette Aug.4, following ratification by President Abdullah Gül.

Van Governor Münir Karaloğlu, who is appointed to Bursa, said farewell to the people of Van in Kurdish. “May god be pleased with you,” Governor Karaloğlu posted on his Twitter account late on Aug 3.

According to the decree, Governor of Aydın Kerem Al, Governor of Bursa Şahabettin Harput, Governor of Giresun Dursun Ali Şahin, Governor of Hakkari Orhan Alimoğlu, Governor of Niğde Alim Barut, Governor of Trabzon Recep Kızılcık, Governor of Osmaniye Celalettin Cerrah, and Governor of Düzce Adnan Yılmaz were appointed to the headquarters.

İbrahim Halil Çomaktekin was appointed to İzmir, Kemal Cirit to Artvin, and Zonguldak Governor Erol Ayyıldız was appointed to Aydın. Ömer Faruk Koçak was appointed to Elazığ, Hasan Karahan to Giresun, Necmettin Kalkan to Hakkari, Muammer Erol to Konya, Necmettin Kılıç to Niğde, Abdil Celil Öz to Trabzon, Aydın Nezih Doğan to Van, Ali Kaban to Zonguldak, Mehmet Oduncu to Osmaniye, Ali İhsan Su to Düzce, Vahdettin Özkan to Isparta, Hasan İpek to Şırnak, and Mükerrem Ünlüer was appointed to Bayburt.
