What to eat: Day 4

Breakfast (8 a.m. – 9 a.m.)

• Two medium- or soft-boiled eggs (or a two-egg omelet cooked lightly in butter)
• 8 or 10 unsalted olives (green or black)
• Feta cheese the size of your palm
• 2or 3 green peppers or 1 or 2 cucumbers
• Fresh parsley and fresh red pepper
• Sugar-free green tea or another tea
• Half-glass of dried walnuts

Snacks (optional) (10 a.m.)

• Unsalted peanuts or almonds
• Sugar-free tea or water with fresh lemon

Lunch (1 p.m.-2 p.m.)


• Fresh leeks stewed in olive oil
• 3 or 4 lamb cutlets or a grilled steak as big as your palm
• A bowl of yogurt with a spoonful of linseed
• 5 or 6 cherry tomatoes
• Plenty of water

Snacks (optional) (3 p.m.)

• A small orange or another fruit in season
• Unsalted peanuts or almonds

Dinner (6 p.m.–7 p.m.)

• Grilled fish, onions, arugula and radish
• Steamed Brussels sprouts and grated carrots or a cabbage salad
• Pinto beans stewed in olive oil
• Pilaki (a cold dish made with white beans and olive oil)

Notes:


1- The Karatay Diet does not allow any meals after 8 p.m., not even fruits.
2- The diet advises a 30- or 40-minute walk before going to bed
