The survey will be conducted on social media accounts with candidate names determined by the lemurs’ caregivers in order to name new pups. The names to be determined by the votes of the children will be given to two lemurs.
Eskişehir Zoo manager Nurben Koptekin said that the number of ring-tailed lemurs at the facility increased and they have become a “happy large family.”
Stating that they temporarily closed the doors of the facility to visits within the scope of the new type of coronavirus measures, she said that they were looking forward to host visitors.
“When all this is over, and we open our doors again, we look forward to hosting our visitors of all ages to see our adorable lemur group with advanced social and intra-group communication skills,” she said.
There are a total of 243 different species of animals, 123 of which are underwater animals in the 85,000-square-meter zoo.
