167 migrants rescued from truck trailer after tearing canvas
Police officers have rescued some 167 migrants from the trailer of a truck with a torn canvas, resulting from hot temperatures and dehydration, in the Black Sea province of Samsun.
The incident took place when the trailer caught the attention of the police officers.
Samsun’s Governor Zülkif Dağlı told journalists that the migrants have been taken to the province’s Atatürk Sports Arena and are being taken care of with their basic necessities.
