The head of Erzurum's Women Entrepreneurs has created a backlash following comments in which she said women should not become governors or district governors because "not every post is a post for a woman.”

"Woman should not be governors or district governors," Zeynep Çomaklı said today. "You should make a sound when you slam your fist on the desk. Not every post is a post for a woman."

Çomaklı was speaking during an event that aimed to promote gender equality in the workplace when she told participants that it was "a mistake for certain posts to be occupied by women."

"Women cannot use initiative; they are missing [something]. Women are gentle, fragile and emotional," she said.

Participants raised their voice to disagree with the head of the female entrepreneurs’ group, but Çomaklı continued on, saying it was not a question of "what fits" but what women are capable of.

"A woman cannot be construction worker. It just won't fit her," Çomaklı said. "Some posts are just not for women."

but we are also different. the strong and autocratic women are more sharply refused than an autocratic man. does anybody remember the name of Carly Fiorina? the mainreason of her fall was that her attitude and managing style wasnt tlerated by male managers. this woman in the article showed her own ignorance and narrow mindedness. send herattendig some basic course of social sciences, or maybe enough to visit some other countries...dont have to go west, itcan be even in south america...

in the former soviet union and in other socialist countries the women could fulfill all the jobs. they could drive bus, lorry, airplane, they could handle tower cranes, tractors, every kind of industrial machines. after the ww there were woalso female bricklayers... there are many succesful women leading parties, ministries, companies and sometimes countries. the sociologists showed, that the most succesful ones has got strong negotiative skills, ready to make balance and compromises.

Thank the stars that female intellectuals like Umit Boyner don't listen to the Gulen/AKP sponsered ramblings of this silly woman!

All I want to know is how did this woman get to a place where she is now? Was it an accident? Sis someone push her to the arena? My husband is an engineer but all the work around our house is done by me a woman. This notion is making woman very weak.Zeynep Comakli should only speak for herself. We can all remember great woman of Turkey who went out helped Great Ataturk during the war, without their help we would not be where we are now.

Hooray, hooray, hooray, exacktly what Gülen's AKP's Great Leader thinks about women! How dare women even think of attempting a man's job! Back to the kitchen, slavery to the husband and bearing machine of AT LEAST 3 children with all women. And Turkish women are so ignorant, the will vote again in the next election for those who denigrate them!.

And you, Zeynep Çomaklı, what are you doing as head of Erzurum's Women Entrepreneurs? You are gentle, fragile and emotional; it's a mistake for you to occupy this post. Now get back in the kitchen and make me my dinner.

I was trying to think of a number of jobs that women can't do as well as a man. I was sure I could come up with a list!. But I was wrong. I can only think of one thing they can't do..father children! A woman can do any job a man can do. This woman is an idiot. OK there are individuals, male and female incapable of doing some jobs. Ms. Çomaklı is obviously one of the incapable ones! She should stay in the kitchen and not insult the talented women in business and other "mens" jobs!.
